By growing food together, we create welcoming spaces for learning, connection, and care for the land. Our neighbor-led gardens strengthen food access, deepen relationships, and build resilience across our neighborhoods.
Locust Street Garden
Launched in 2025, the Locust Street Garden is a sharing garden where neighbors grow together, learn together, and share the harvest.

Programs & Activities
Workshops include raised bed construction, medicinal herbs, and garden planning. Community gatherings span oyster roasts, potlucks, happy hours, and Yoga in the Garden.

New Beginnings Academy Garden
New Beginnings Academy’s after-school and summer program uses the garden to help kids understand where food comes from and how to make simple, healthy meals.

Lessons to transform the harvests into delicious and nutritious food, such as salads, pesto, and pickled tomatoes

With Bethel AME Church and Habitat for Humanity, we are co-designing an accessible sharing garden on the church site.
